Haddam Neck Fair

Friday, September 1 - Monday, September 4, 2023

The Haddam Neck Fair is a genuine Country & Agricultural Fair held every Labor Day weekend at the Fair Grounds in Haddam Neck, CT.  It is an independent, family-oriented, major social and agricultural event promoting farming and conservation practices to improve quality of life.  It is supported entirely by funds it raises and by the hard work of its volunteers.

The Haddam Garden Club is proud to be a part of the volunteer effort for this wonderful event.  We manage the Flowers & Horticulture Specimens and Indoor Plant Contest.  Each year, hundreds of items are entered for evaluation, including flower arrangements reflecting the Theme for the Year.

This year’s Theme is “Art from the Garden”.  We’ve chosen five famous paintings in widely different styles, with very different subjects, to inspire your flower arrangement.  Don’t try to copy them too literally!  Decide what appeals to you—the colors, the shapes, and very importantly, the atmosphere the painting invokes—and then use those elements as starting points to create your design.

Haddam Neck Fair

Friday, September 3 - Monday, September 6 2021

The Haddam Neck Fair is a genuine Country & Agricultural Fair held every Labor Day weekend at the Fair Grounds in Haddam Neck, CT.  It is an independent, family-oriented, major social and agricultural event promoting farming and conservation practices to improve quality of life.  It is supported entirely by funds it raises and by the hard work of its volunteers.

This year’s Theme is “The Mayflower”.  We had hoped to use this theme last year to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the landing but COVID had other ideas.  However, it did take until 1621 until there were enough homes built for everyone to live on land in Massachusetts so Mayflower it is!  More  information on this special theme, plus all the competition classes you can enter can be found at www.HaddamNeckFair.com in the Flowers and Horticulture section of the Exhibitor's Guide.
